How to maintain your ceramic coating

Wash your car every 1-2 weeks by hand. Use the ‘two bucket’ technique (one with soap, one for rinsing the glove) to avoid introducing dirt that could scratch the coating.

It is vital to use soaps without waxes or harsh additives. A pure pH-neutral shampoo cleans away dirt without leaving residues that obstruct the hydrophobic properties (water repellent).

Never let the car dry in the sun. Tap water contains minerals that can leave hard-to-remove limescale stains on ceramic surfaces. Always dry with a soft drying towel.

Every 3 or 4 washes, use a ceramic- or SiO2-based quick detailer spray. This acts as a ‘refresh’ that rejuvenates the original shine and protection.

5 – Avoid tunnels Ceramic is hard, but not invincible. The brushes on automatic machines are very abrasive and can wear down the protective layer prematurely, reducing its useful life.

Although ceramic protects against acids, bird droppings and resin are highly corrosive. Remove them as soon as possible with pressurised water or a lubricant spray to prevent marks.
